I'm sure the eventual nominee will make Solyndra an issue during the campaign. Solyndra is just the tip of the green energy crony-Capitalism iceberg with Obama and his big donors. Once the nominee starts talking about it the media might have to make an effort to cover it. Hell, this is the kind of stuff that he ran on getting rid of in D.C. and he's been more guilty of it than any president.

Now that the contraception/slut bullshit is starting to die down, let's see what phony outrage the media and the administration comes out with now to keep people distracted from the gas prices and economy.

I think candidates need to redesign their campaign focus. Start with mass media and pop culture consultants. Get your guy on Letterman/Leno/The View as much as possible. And become as well versed in music, technology, entertainment and electronic social media as possible. Obama is already doing some of this. Promise the world. Unemployment to 5 percent, gas prices to $2, jobs and manufacturing, green energy initiatives, and make sure every notable minority, ethic group, religion is promised something. Inclusiveness. Lie through your teeth. And then when you get in office, do what you want. Because the time the next election rolls around all will be forgotten. People will just care about gas prices and how likeable you are.

I'm sure Washington is run exactly how the founding fathers imagined. It's like a fucking high school there. Get popular and lie to get yourself elected. Or even if you are telling the truth you won't get anything accomplished because of the giant dick measuring contest the bipartisan system creates. It'd be nice if just for once there wasn't this party bullshit and everyone just voted for bill and measures that helped the country as a whole. Then maybe we could start digging ourselves out of this huge hole they have put us in.
